will be held at the Capital Area Chapter Red Cross
Offices, 187 Office Plaza Drive in Tallahassee.

The free of charge classes are open to
licensed Amateur Radio Operators, and other individuals
interested in Emergency Communications.
At the conclusion of class on
April 19, an Emergency Communications Certification
Level 1 test will be administered to people who are
interested in obtaining the certification. There
will be a $10 test fee to cover the cost of materials,
supplies, and postage.
The Certification can be
important, because many served agencies will soon
require that individuals deployed to disaster areas be
certified in emergency communications procedures and
techniques. Having this certification will ensure
you'll be able to assist during a disaster, should your
property and loved ones are safe, and you wish to
assist in relief efforts.
